Nay Yu Aung got his first bachelor’s degree specialization in physics from Dagon University in 2006 and moved to United Kingdom in 2007 for further studies. He gained experience in the Hospitality industry and found another interest in hospitality and Tourism. He got his second degree from the University of Sunderland in 2011 specialization in International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
After 5 years studied and working in UK, he moved back to Myanmar in 2012 and started a career in Hospitality and Tourism industry. Between 2012 and 2023, he set up and trained Hotels and restaurants in Myanmar. Among the projects, Golden Butterfly Hotel (Mogoke) and Marina Seafood Restaurant Ngwe Saung are big names in the Myanmar hospitality industry. In 2016, he switched his career to the academic industry and worked at the Myanmar Imperial University as a program manager for about 5 years till 2020.
He is currently working as a freelance and visiting lecturer at a private college and university in Myanmar. He was invited to be a guest speaker at Parul University from India. At the same time, he is working as a freelance consultant and following his passion not only in academics but also in the hospitality industry.
He is supervising master candidates from Geneva Business School and the University of Sunderland.
